SPARKLING CYANIDE

First UK edition, first printing. Publisher's original orange cloth with black titles to the spine, in the Leslie Stead illustrated dustwrapper. A very good copy, the binding square and firm with some bumping and rubbing at the spine tips. The contents, with a previous owner's humorous gift inscription to the front free endpaper and a little spotting to the bottom corners of pages 27-33, are otherwise clean throughout. Complete with the rubbed, nicked and creased dustwrapper that has tiny chips at the spine tips and fold corners and a short closed tear each to the rear and front flap folds. Not price-clipped (8s 6d on the front flap).

The last of four novels to feature the ex-Army officer and good friend of Hercule Poirot, Colonel Race. (Hubin; Wagstaff & Poole; Curran, John: The Hooded Gunman).
