Morris illustrated paper covered upper board and tan cloth lower board. Black silk bookmark. Black textured endpapers. Illustrated with two black and white full page plates by Harry O. Garton and colour reproductions of previous paperback editions. A very near fine copy, the binding square and firm, with a touch of rubbing to the edges and extremities. The contents are clean throughout and without previous owners' inscriptions or stamps.

Issued in an edition of 200 copies, from which this example is numbered 58 and signed by illustrator Harry O. Morris and the author of the introduction Ray Garton in black ink on the colophon. This expanded edition includes the bonus essay by Rex Miller 'Dreams of Sex and Death', never before printed in book form. 'Slob' was first published in 1987 by New American Library, and was Miller's first volume in the 'Chaingang' series, introducing readers to the fictional homicide detective Jack Eichord and serial killer Daniel Bunkowski. For his work, Miller received a nomination for the Bram Stoker Award for 'Best First Novel'.
