First edition, first printing. Publisher's original orange cloth with blue titles and illustration to the upper board and spine, in the W. Lindsay Cable illustrated dustwrapper. Illustrated throughout with black and white line drawings by W. Lindsay Cable. A very good copy, the binding firm and the cloth bright with mild toning at the tips of the slightly rolled spine. Some bubbling to the glue at the front and rear pastedown. The contents are clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the good, rubbed and nicked dustwrapper that has a split to the middle of the front flap fold, and some toning to the spine and panel edges. The underside has several pieces of strengthening tape at the fold corners. Not price-clipped (5s to the lower front flap).
