First edition thus, first printing. Original illustrated paper-covered boards with gilt titles to the spine and a gilt portrait of Pan to the upper board. No dustwrapper, as issued. With a number of black and white historical illustrations of Pan and satyrs by various artists. A near fine copy, the binding square and tight, with slight rubbing to the very edges of the board corners and spine tips, and a very tiny, clean nick to the fore-edge of the upper board. The contents are clean throughout and without previous owners' stamps or inscriptions.

10th anniversary edition, issued in a limited edition of 300 copies. First published in 2015, this new edition contains a new story, 'The Game of the Great God Pan' by Benjamin Tweddell, and some new illustrations. A collection of writings on the Greek god of nature and music.
