First edition, first printing. Swedish language. Original illustrated paper-covered boards with a pale blue cloth spine. Illustrated throughout in colour by the author. A very good copy, the binding firm, the boards faintly spotted, the spine toned and marked, the extremities lightly rubbed and bumped. The contents, with a crease to the rear free endpaper and a small crease to the top corner of the text block, are otherwise clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps.

A wonderful Swedish children's book about a boy who goes skiing and meets the king of winter, written and illustrated by Elsa Beskow (1874-1953), one of Sweden's most beloved children's authors.
