Early edition. Original red cloth with titles and illustrations in black to the spine and upper board. Lacking the dustwrapper. Illustrated endpapers. Illustrated with five colour plates and further black and white line drawings by George Soper throughout. A very good or better copy, the binding square and firm, the extremities a little rubbed, the spine a touch faded. The contents, with a neat 1938 school award inscription to the front pastedown and endpaper and some offsetting to the free endpapers, are otherwise clean throughout.
