Publisher's original illustrated card covers with white, red and yellow titles to the front panel and red cloth spine. 68 pp. Illustrated with black and white frontispiece, twelve full page colour chromolithographic plates drawn by T. D. Scott, 17 tinted astronomical illustrations, numerous black and white in-text illustrations, charts and tables throughout. An excellent near fine copy, the binding firm with a little rubbing and creasing to the extremities, the covers toned but free from loss or tears. The contents are clean throughout and free from inscriptions or stamps.

Published annually between 1845 and 1895 by The Illustrated London News, The Illustrated London Almanack provided locally relevant information covering finances, politics, the monarchy, key events and obituaries. Each issue contained seasonally themed engravings and information, with features on wildlife, folklore, astrology and recreational events. Uncommon in original condition.
