CHISWICK PRESS KEYBOARD TYPEFACES

First edition, first printing. Publisher's original cream paper boards, with red cloth spine. Red titling and lion motif to the front panel. A very good copy, the binding tight and square, with toning to the paper boards and bumping to the spine tips and panel corners. The contents, with a previous owner's bookplate to the front pastedown, are otherwise clean throughout and free from inscriptions or stamps.

A type book containing Monotype faces, display types and decorative elements including borders, dashes and initials. Chiswick Press specialised in fine printing at affordable prices and the production of smaller books. Most notably they produced The Diary of Lady Willoughby (1844) and early William Morris designs.
