First UK edition, first printing. Original red paper-covered boards with black titles to the spine, in dustwrapper. A near fine copy, the binding square and tight, the head of the spine a little bumped, the cloth bright and fresh. The contents, with faint offsetting to the endpapers, are otherwise clean throughout and without stamps or inscriptions. Complete with the lightly rubbed, nicked and creased original dustwrapper which has two short closed tears to the bottom edge of the front panel, one measuring 3cm and the other 1cm. Not price clipped (10s 6d to the bottom of the front flap).
