THE APE MAN

First edition, first printing. Publisher's grey paper covered boards with black titles to the spine, in the G. P. Micklewright illustrated dustwrapper. A very good copy, the binding square and firm, the boards fresh. The contents, toned to the pulp paper stock are otherwise clean throughout. Complete with the rubbed and nicked dustwrapper that has tiny chips to the spine tips and corners but is essentially complete and bright. A decent example of a very cheaply produced book.

A Hubin listed science-fiction novel of exactly as the title suggests. With little information available about the the publisher these titles are very hard to date. Various sources suggest publication between 1930 and 1935; Lloyd Currey proposes the later, which from experience is a reliable place to start. (Hubin; Reginald; OCLC / WorldCat).
