NOT NEGOTIABLE

First edition, first printing. Publisher's original pale yellow cloth with red lettering to the upper board and spine, in the Bip Pares illustrated dustwrapper. A very good copy, the binding square and firm, with bumping to the spine tips and a slight bow to the upper board. The cloth is lightly spotted to the spine with a small stain to the bottom edge of the lower board. The contents, with spotting to all edges of the closed text block and sporadically to the margins throughout, are otherwise clean and free from inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the rubbed and nicked dustwrapper, that has a few small chips to the folds, a short closed tear to the top edge of front panel and a 4.5cm tear along the rear spine fold. Price-clipped to the front flap.

The eleventh Tommy Hambledon thriller. Set in Brussels, after the war. "[A] gang of crooks [...] are convinced that the best way to make money is to manufacture it—which after all is only common sense. But then they didn't reckon with Hambledon." (from the jacket) (Hubin).
