GREEN HAZARD

First South African edition. Original blue cloth with black titles to the spine, in dustwrapper. A very good copy, the binding square and firm, the cloth with a few wrinkles and small marks, the edges lightly rubbed. The contents, with faint offsetting to the endpapers, a bookseller's label on the rear pastedown and a few early pages creased at the bottom corners, are otherwise clean throughout and without stamps or inscriptions. Complete with the lightly rubbed, nicked and toned dustwrapper that has a few short closed tears and a shallow chip at the head of the spine and rear panel. Not price-clipped (8s. 6d. on the front flap).

A scarce issue, as the London first edition but printed and distributed in South Africa for Hodder and Stoughton. (Hubin).
