LUNAR PARK

First UK edition, first printing. Signed by the author. Publisher's original photographic boards with black titles to the white spine, in the dustwrapper with the titles punched out of the front panel. Photographic endpapers. A very near fine copy, the binding square and firm, bright and fresh, with just a little bumping to the spine tips. The contents, with a bookplate to the front pastedown and some toning to the closed text block, are otherwise clean throughout and without previous owners' inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the very slightly rubbed dustwrapper that is without fading loss or tears. Not price-clipped (£16.99 to the lower front flap).

Inscribed by Bret Easton Ellis in black ink on the title page "For Jared / best wishes / Bret Easton Ellis [underlined]". The recipient is an editor and publisher of genre fiction. A metafictional horror novel in the style of a mock memoir, featuring cameo appearances by Ellis' characters from previous novels, notably including Patrick Bateman from 'American Psycho' (1991), and various fictionalised versions of the author's contemporaries and friends. First published in the US by Alfred A. Knopf in August 2005, this first UK edition followed just two months later. Winner of the 2006 International Horror Guild Award for 'Best Novel'.
