First edition, first printing. Original burgundy cloth with gilt titles to the spine. Lacking the dustwrapper. Top edge burgundy. Illustrated with black and white plates throughout. A very good or better copy, the binding square and firm, the cloth with a few small marks, the top corners lightly bumped, the extremities a little rubbed. There are a couple of small marks to the closed text-block fore-edge, the contents are otherwise clean throughout and without stamps or inscriptions.
