Considered his last important work for orchestra, Symphonia Domestica is a tone poem that illustrates a musical reflection of the secure domestic life so valued by the composer and, as such, harmoniously conveys daily events and family life. Finished in 1903, the premiere was reserved until his American tour in 1904 when it was performed at Carnegie Hall in New York.
