THE HANDS OF ORLAC

First UK edition, first printing. Publisher's original black cloth with silver titles to the spine, in the Oliver Frey illustrated dustwrapper. A better than very good copy, the binding square and firm with just a little softening at the spine tips. The contents, a little dusty to the closed text block edge, are otherwise clean throughout and without previous owner's marks. Complete with the original dustwrapper that is faintly spotted to the flaps otherwise bright and without fading, loss or tears. Not price-clipped (£6.95 to the front flap).

A seminal work of horror (and crime) that served as the basis for several film adaptations, most notably the 1935 MGM picture "Mad Love" directed by Karl Freund and starring Peter Lorre. (Hubin, Bleiler, Locke: Spectrum of Fantasy)
