Limited edition. Publisher's original teal cloth with gilt titles to the upper board and spine, without dustwrapper as issued. A near fine copy, the binding square and firm, the cloth bright and fresh, with some rubbing and bumping to the extremities. The contents, with just a touch of spotting to the fore-edge of the closed text block, and a small crease to the top edge of p. 95, are otherwise clean and without inscriptions or stamps.

Issued in an edition of 80 copies. A science fiction novel set in the distant future. A compete rewrite of the author's first novel 'Against the Fall of Night' which was first printed in Startling Stories Magazine in 1948.
