First Folio Society edition and first printing with these illustrations. Publisher's original silver illustrated cloth with titles to the spine in blue and black, in slipcase. Map endpapers. Illustrated throughout with a frontispiece and 11 full page colour plates by Sam Weber. An excellent fine copy, the binding square and firm, the contents are clean and bright throughout. Housed in the near fine structurally sound slipcase, which is a little shelf marked on the bottom edge.

A beautifully illustrated and produced edition of the first title in Frank Herbert's epic 'Dune' series. The basis for several film adaptations, most notably the 1984 box-office bomb written and directed by David Lynch (now with a cult following) and the 2021 critically acclaimed multi-award winning Denis Villeneuve directed picture starring Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya.
