WHEN HOSTILITIES CEASE Papers on Relief and Reconstruction Prepared for the Fabian Society.

First edition, first printing. The publisher's retained copy. Original blue cloth with gilt titles to the spine, in dustwrapper. A very good copy, the binding square and firm, the lower board slightly bowed. Complete with the original dustwrapper which is toned to the spine, has a little red staining to the edges of the front panel, light nicking to the spine tips, the publisher's "File Copy" stamp to the front panel, and a small "43" in pen to the rear panel.

A collection of essays derived from a conference on the first steps in the relief and rehabilitation of Europe held at Oxford by the International Bureau of the Fabian Society in December 1942. Provenance: From the archive of the publisher Victor Gollancz.
