First hardcover edition and first collected edition. With an introduction by the author 'Why I Was Bachman'. Publisher's original black cloth with gilt titles to the spine, in dustwrapper. A very good copy, the binding square and firm with some bumping to the spine tips and corners, and a couple of vertical reading creases to the spine. The contents are entirely complete, without loose or torn pages and clean throughout, with no inscriptions or stamps. The paper stock is toned as always. Complete with the rubbed and nicked dustwrapper that has a short closed tear to the upper rear flap fold and some creasing to the edges. Not price-clipped (£10.95 to the lower front flap). A scarce title.
Issued in an edition of just 2,000 copies. All four novels were first published in the UK and America as paperback originals.
