First edition. Signed by the author (and artist). Publisher's original dark red cloth with silver titles to the spine, in the Quentin Blake illustrated dustwrapper. Profusely illustrated in colour throughout. A fine copy, the binding square and firm, the cloth bright and fresh. The contents are clean throughout and without previous owners' marks. Complete with the very lightly creased dustwrapper that remains bright and without loss or tears. Not price-clipped (£14.99 net to the lower front flap).

Signed twice by Quentin Blake in black ink, once on the front endpaper, and again on the title page. Quentin Blake's own account of his two year tenure as the first Children's Laureate (1999-2001). Issued in an edition of 1000 copies for the Chris Beetles Gallery.
