Facsimile of the 1609 first edition. Mid 20th century quarter green morocco, spine lettered in gilt, green cloth boards. The closed text-block edge is flecked red. A very good copy, the binding square and firm, the extremities very lightly rubbed and bumped, the leather spine a little faded at the edges. The contents are foxed, and otherwise clean and without stamps or inscriptions.
The binding, whilst not signed is dated 1965 and numbered 2/20 on the front free endpaper. An attractive facsimile edition of Shakespeare's sonnets, reproducing the first edition copy held in the British Museum.
