THE SINEWS OF PEACE: Post-War Speeches

First edition, first printing. Publisher's original terracotta cloth with gilt titles to the spine, in dustwrapper. A near fine copy, the binding square and firm, the cloth a little bumped and rubbed to the spine tips and boarder's edges. The contents, with slight pressure marks to fore edge of the closed text block, are otherwise clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the nicked and creased, price-clipped dustwrapper, that has a few spots and dust marks to the rear panel and flaps and a couple of short closed tears.

The first of Churchill's five post-war speech volumes, containing speeches made in 1945 and 1946.
