First editions, first printings. Six volumes. Original blue cloth with gilt lettering to spines, in the Angela Garnett designed dustwrappers. Illustrated with photographs in black and white. A very good or better set, the bindings square and firm with a little rubbing and bumping to the spine tips and corners, the cloth bright and fresh. The contents are clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the lightly rubbed and creased dustwrappers, showing a little toning to rear panels and a touch of fading to the spines. All except volumes II and III are price-clipped to the lower front flap, volume III with the addition of a small rectangular piece of paper below the blurb. An attractive set.
