With over 200 illustrations, mostly in colour, including reproductions of all 110 of Ravilious' wartime watercolours, made whilst an Official War Artist, in addition to just about every other painting, engraving, cotton, and ceramic design he made during this time. Also included are most of the letters from the last three years of his life, the correspondents include John Nash, Edward Bawden, John Piper, Helen Binyon and Paul Nash. A fine copy, the binding square and firm, bright and fresh. The contents are clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps. Loosely laid in, is an invitation to the book launch, the original prospectus and a handwritten letter from the publisher. Housed in the fine, structurally sound slipcase.
