POSTCARDS FROM THE BOYS

First edition. Signed by the author. 'Collector' limited edition of 2,500, of which this is 1,032. Publisher's original brown leather with blind stamped titles to the spine and a Ringo Starr postcard onlay to the upper board. Housed in a red metal box designed to look like a post box. Containing facsimiles of the both sides of 53 postcards sent by John Lennon, Paul McCartney, and George Harrison to Ringo Starr tipped in on black, photo album style pages, each with annotations from Ringo explaining the postcards and what was going on in his life at that time. Also included are an envelope of postcards and a sheet of specially designed stamps. A very good copy, the binding firm, some rubbing and scuffing to soft leather as usual and a little rubbing to the postcard on the upper board. The contents are fine, bright, clean and complete. Slight rubbing to the extremities of the metal box.

Signed in blue ink by Ringo Starr on the limitation page. The playful presentation of this unique and intimate volume brings the sense of fun seen in the postcards into the book itself.
