'The Silence of the Lambs' is the second novel in the Hannibal Lecter series, and formed the basis for the 1991 multi Academy Award winning film starring Anthony Hopkins and Jodie Foster. The books have inspired four other films adaptations as well a television series starring Hugh Dancy and Mads Mikkelsen.
