First UK edition, first printing. Publisher's original blue cloth with gilt titles to the spine, in the original Youngman Carter illustrated dustwrapper. A near fine copy, the binding firm, the cloth and gilt bright and fresh. The contents, with a small bookseller's paper label to the left corner of the front pastedown (hidden by the dustwrapper flap), a few isolated foxing spots to the pastedowns, are clean and without inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the bright, lightly rubbed dustwrapper which is a touch dust marked to the rear panel and otherwise without loss or tears. Not price-clipped (13s 6d net to the lower front flap).
