Signed by Hilary Mantel in black ink on the title page. A short story collection by the two-time Booker Prize winning-author of 'Wolf Hall' (2009) and 'Bring Up the Bodies' (2012). Comprises ten short stories including the titular 'The Assassination of Margaret Thatcher', which Mantel wrote over a period of more than 30 years and has been described as "A horror story for Thatcher's fans, a wish-fulfillment fantasy for her detractors" (Damian Barr for The Guardian, 2014). It was later adapted for the stage in November 2025 at the Liverpool Everyman.
