Limited edition. Bound by Bill Amberg in full brown vegetable tanned, buffalo calf, Yapp binding. Leather 'bookmark' with titles in blind, attached with a leather cord tied through the book. Housed within a brown paper covered box, lined with tissue paper. Without the printed paper band that seals the box. A near fine copy, with a few light scuffs to the leather, the contents are clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps. With the fine,structurally sound box.

Interior designer and leather worker Bill Amberg was commissioned by Penguin to produce a new leather binding for six Penguin Classic titles, including 'Brideshead Revisted', 'The Great Gatsby', 'Breakfast at Tiffany's', 'A Room With A View', 'The Big Sleep' and 'The Picture of Dorian Gray'. The leather used was taken from 'fallen animals' sourced from India's premium calf tannery, in which traditional methods and ecological processes are used. Each title in the project was issued in a limited edition of 1000 copies.
