First edition, first printing. Signed by the artist on a loosely laid-in postcard. Original grey boards with silver titles to the spine, in the illustrated dustwrapper. Illustrated endpapers. With full-page colour illustrations by Jan Pienkowski throughout. A near fine copy, the binding square and firm with very slight bumping to the foot of the spine and the bottom corner of the upper board. The contents are clean throughout and without previous owners' stamps or inscriptions. Complete with the lightly rubbed and creased dustwrapper that remains bright and without loss or tears. Not price-clipped (£8.95 on the front flap).
