TYPED LETTER SIGNED FROM ROALD DAHL TO HIS PUBLISHER RAYNER UNWIN.

A single page typed letter, written by Roald Dahl on Gipsy House, Great Missenden letterhead, to the head of George Allen and Unwin publishers Rayner Unwin. Dahl writes "I do rather hate lunches in mid-week or indeed at any time. why can't we get together one week-end when you are at home. I could come to you or vice versa at twelve o'clock on a Saturday morning and talk about the Charlies, if that would suit you. Signed Roald in blue ink. Rayner Unwin has annotated in pencil "copy sent to Merlin 26.10.82". The letter is in very good condition, with two horizontal folds and some creasing to the top edge.

Provenance: Rayner Unwin; thence by descent to Merlin Unwin.
