First UK edition, first printing. Publisher's original blue cloth with gilt titles to the spine, in the Fritz Wegner illustrated dustwrapper. A very good copy, the binding firm with a little bumping and fading to the spine tips, the cloth bright and fresh. The contents, with some spotting to the prelims and closed text block edge, are otherwise clean and without inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the rubbed and nicked dustwrapper that has several short closed tears with associated creasing at the fold corners and some fading to the spine. Not price-clipped (10s 6d net to the lower front flap).
