DEATH AND THE PLEASANT VOICES

First edition, first printing. Publisher's original black cloth with silver titles to the spine, in the A. E. Barlow illustrated dustwrapper. A good or better copy, the binding square and firm with a little bumping at the spine tips and some indentations to the rear board. The contents, with some spotting to the prelims and some rippling to the lower margin of a few pages, are otherwise clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the rubbed and nicked dustwrapper that is chipped with loss at the head of the toned spine and fold corners, and has some damp staining to the rear panel. Not price-clipped (9/6 net to the front flap). A scarce title.

A Superintendent Mallett novel. (Hubin).
