Publisher's deluxe binding, tan leather with titles and illustrations of children and foliage to the spine in gilt, a double ruled border and decorated initials in black and gilt to the upper board. All edges gilt. Illustrated throughout in black and white by E. H. Shepard. A very good copy, the binding firm and gilt bright, with a slight lean to the spine, both boards with indentations of writing where it has been leant on, a black line and a scuff to the lower board. The contents, with offsetting to the last page and an occasional small mark internally, are otherwise clean and without stamps or inscriptions. A lovely copy in a very attractive publisher's binding
