TREASURE AT AMORYS

First edition, first printing. Original pebble effect blue cloth, with gilt lettering to the spine, in the Terence Freeman illustrated dustwrapper, who also provides the title page vignette and illustrations at the head of each chapter. A near fine copy, the binding square and firm with a little bumping and a thin strip of fading at the spine tips. The contents, with a neat ink presentation inscription to the blank reverse of the front endpaper are otherwise clean throughout. Complete with the very lightly rubbed dustwrapper that is faded to the spine but otherwise bright and without loss or tears. Not price-clipped (10/6 net to the front flap). An attractive example.

The fifteenth adventure in the Lone Pine series. "The Lone Piners explore the Isle of Oxney, on Romney Marsh. Penny has a strange dream, involving Roman soldiers, which seems to become all too real. Why are so many people interested in Amorys House and its copse?" (Synopsis from Malcolm Saville Society).
