First edition, first printing. Publisher's original two tone blue illustrated cloth with titles in dark blue to the spine, in dustwrapper. Top edge red. Illustrated endpapers and line drawings in black (some accented with blue) by Burgess Sharrocks. An excellent near fine copy, the binding square and firm the cloth bright and fresh. The contents, with a previous owner's inscription in the 'this belongs to' box, and a little spotting to the closed text block edge are otherwise clean throughout. Complete with the original lightly rubbed and creased dustwrapper that remains without fading, loss or tears. Not price-clipped (7/6 net to the lower front flap).
