First edition, first printing. Original yellow cloth with dark green titles to the spine and upper board, in dustwrapper. Illustrated with a colour frontispiece and drawings in black and white by C. H. Chapman. A very good or better copy, the binding square and firm, the cloth bright and fresh. The contents, with some spotting to the closed text block edges, are otherwise clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the near fine lightly rubbed and creased dustwrapper that remains without fading, loss or tears. Not price-clipped (9/6 net to the lower front flap).
