Contemporary half vellum, ruled in gilt over marbled paper covered boards. Titles in gilt on a brown morocco label to the the spine, which is decorated with gilt floral designs accented with red morocco. Marbled endpapers. With a frontispiece portrait. A very good copy, the binding square and firm with a little rubbing and bumping at the corners and spine tips, the vellum with a little natural toning and spotting. The contents, with a contemporary gift inscription of the front flyleaf, some foxing to the early and late pages, and a few small marks to the closed text-block edge, are otherwise clean throughout.
