First edition with colour illustrations. Publisher's offset printed linen boards, after a watercolour illustration by Denton Welch, and brown suede spine with titles in gilt to the upper board and spine. With a frontispiece self portrait by Welch, colour illustrated endpapers and wonderful lithographs in colour and black and white throughout by Leslie Jones. Top edge gilt. A very good copy, the binding square and firm, the spine ends a little nicked at the corners and somewhat toned. The contents are clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps. Loosely laid in is a letter press printed card explaining the origin of the illustrations by Leslie Jones.

Issued in a limited edition of 200 copies, this example is marked 'out of series' on the colophon.
