Second edition of the 1980 Black Cat edition (the first to include The Wild Boys). Softcover. Signed by the author. Publisher's original Gilbert and George illustrated card covers, with white titles to the front cover and spine. A very good or better copy, the binding square and firm, with some rubbing and creasing to the edges and a couple of small marks to the lower rear cover and spine. The contents, with a little spotting to the top edge and a couple of light blue marks to the fore-edge of the closed text block, are otherwise clean throughout and without previous owners' inscriptions or stamps.

Signed by William S. Burroughs in black ink on the title page. This collection comprises the first and third novels from Burroughs' experimental 'Nova Trilogy' (also known as 'The Cut-up Trilogy', after the author's controversial usage of his self-invented 'cut-up' technique) and 'The Wild Boys: A Book of the Dead'. First published as individual novels in 1961 (Olympia Press), 1964 and 1971 (Grove Press), respectively. The collection was first published in 1980 under Black Cat, another imprint of Grove Press, and notably included the missing 'Nova Trilogy' book 'The Ticket that Exploded' (1962, Olympia Press) in place of 'The Wild Boys'.
