First UK edition, first printing. Publisher's original blue boards with gilt titles to the spine, in the Fritz Wegner illustrated dustwrapper. A very good copy, the binding square and firm, with a little fading to the the spine and board edges. There is some spotting to the closed text-block edge, prelims and a few margins, the contents are otherwise clean throughout and without previous owner's inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the rubbed, nicked and creased dustwrapper that is a little faded at the spine and has a few closed tears and small chips at the extremities. Not price-clipped (10s 6d on the front flap).
