First UK edition, first printing. Publisher's original black boards with gilt titles to the spine, in the Bernard Higton designed dustwrapper. A lovely near fine copy, the binding square and firm, the cloth bright and fresh. There are a couple of faint spots to the closed text-block fore-edge and a small area of slight buckling to the front free endpaper, the contents are otherwise clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the near fine original dustwrapper that is very lightly rubbed and creased at the edges, remaining without fading, loss or tears. Not price-clipped (£1.30 to the lower front flap).
