LAMENT FOR A MAKER

First edition, first printing. Original black cloth with orange titles to the spine, in dustwrapper. A better than very good copy, the binding square and firm with slight rubbing and bumping at the corners and spine tips, the cloth bright and fresh. The contents, with some toning and faint spotting to the the closed text-block edge, a little faint foxing to a few early pages and some small marks to the rear flyleaves, are otherwise clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the lightly rubbed, nicked and creased dustwrapper that is a little toned to the spine and flap folds and has a few light marks to the rear panel. An attractive example, without loss.

The third of Michael Innes' detective novels to feature the sleuth John Appleby. A Haycraft-Queen Cornerstone. (Hubin).
