First UK edition, first printing. The publisher's retained copy. Original black cloth with gilt titles to the spine, in dustwrapper. A very good or better copy, the binding square and firm. The contents are spotted to the prelims and text block edges and have the publisher's "Archive Copy" stamp to the title page and "File Copy" stamp to the front paste down, otherwise they remain clean throughout. Complete with the original dustwrapper which is a little creased at the top of the lightly faded and spotted spine and with the publisher's "File Copy" stamp to the the upper panel.
