Description:

First edition, first printing. Publisher's original green cloth with black titles to the upper board and spine, in dustwrapper. Housed in a purpose made quarter black morocco solander case, with titles in gilt to the spine. Photographically illustrated endpapers of scenes from the film. An excellent near fine copy, the binding clean and square, the contents with a small previous owner's name to the reverse of the front endpaper otherwise clean and bright throughout. Complete with the rubbed and nicked original dustwrapper which has a few small chips at the spine tips and panel edges. The dustwrapper is in the correct first state with "by" printed twice to the upper panel and remains crisp, firm and entirely without repair or restoration. A super example of a notoriously difficult book to acquire in the first issue and this condition.
