First edition, first printing. Publisher's original green cloth with titles and illustration in white and gilt to the upper board. Illustrated with a black and white frontispiece by Lancelot Speed. A very good copy, the binding square and firm with fading to the spine titles, dulling to the gilt and rubbing to extremities. The contents with a contemporary school prize inscription in ink to the front free endpaper and a little spotting to the text-block edge are otherwise in good order and clean throughout.
