First edition, first printing. Publisher's original burgundy cloth with gilt titles to the spine, in dustwrapper. A very good copy, the binding square and firm with some bumping at the spine tips, the gilt titles dulled and the extremities lightly rubbed. The contents, with a little light spotting at the text block edge and a previous owner's inscription on the front free endpaper, are otherwise clean throughout. Complete with the good rubbed, nicked and creased dustwrapper that has several tears and is chipped with loss at the head and tale of the spine. Not price-clipped (8/6 to the front flap).
The author's fourth novel all of which at this point feature Chief Inspector Hazlerigg. (Hubin).
